More Collage Art – Mini Canvases and Panel

Here is the link to tonight’s art. I finished up the rest of the pieces I started last night.  One thing I didn’t show you last night was this.  I journaled all over the canvases with positive thoughts and good wishes. Because we all need downtown to think good thoughts for us once in a while and I thought I’d offer them to whomever ends up with these pieces.

Last night I completed the big panel and a journal page. Today I finished the remaining three pieces.
This green and sepia panel is 9″x12″.

Materials Used:

  • Golden fluid acrylic sepia
  • Liquitex professional acrylic ink phthalocyanine green, yellow orange azo
  • Liquitex professional gesso
  • Golden acrylic glazing liquid gloss

Love the green combined with the brown. The first coat of glazing liquid is currently drying.

 This is a 5″x7″ canvas.
Materials Used:

  • Golden fluid acrylic sepia
  • Liquitex professional acrylic ink quinacridone magenta, yellow orange azo
  • Liquitex professional gesso
  • Golden acrylic glazing liquid gloss

I like how the combination of brown, gold, and magenta came out.
 Another 5″x7″ canvas.

Materials Used:

  • Golden fluid acrylic sepia
  • Liquitex professional acrylic ink phthalocyanine green, yellow orange azo, quinacridone magenta
  • Liquitex professional gesso
  • Golden acrylic glazing liquid gloss

This one is a mash of all the colours, literally. As the first 2 dripped onto the parchment paper I had down, this one would be smashed into the colours dripped down and that’s what made this unique mix. Seriously, I couldn’t have done this if I tried. Also, this one is unique in that one word of the journaling is peeking out – love.

Sepia and Teal Panel Materials

Today’s art is more of the panels I did the other day (those other ones are still drying and will be a few more days yet until they’re completely done).

I did this one in sepia and teal.

I like how this one turned out. As soon as it is completely dry, I’ll add a layer of Golden Acrylic Glazing Medium over top to give it a glossy layer and to seal it.

 Panel Materials:

  • Golden Gesso
  • Golden Fluid Acrylic sepia and teal
  • Vintage papers
  • Tim Holtz idea-ology tissue wrap -melange
  • Golden matte medium
  • Journaling with Faber-Castell medium Pitt pen

And as it seem to go with these panels, with the amount of leftover vintage paper scraps and paint drippages, I did a journal page. Kinda silly but I didn’t realize that the teal and sepia I used would make such a nice green. I added the lace and chipboard title to finish the page.

 Journal Materials:

  • Golden Gesso
  • Golden Fluid Acrylic sepia and teal
  • Liquitex ink yellow orange azo
  • Vintage papers
  • Tim Holtz idea-ology tissue wrap -melange
  • Golden matte medium
  • Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Forest Moss
  • Dylusions ink spray dirty martini
  • Recollections lace and chipboard word
  • Stampendous Frantage aged gold embossing enamel
  • Versamark stamp pad

Orange Canvases Materials

(Double checking the spelling of orange first)

Ok. So tonight I painted up a couple of smaller canvases – both are 5″x7″. But first! I rearranged the art room a wee bit.

After spilling and then stepping in paint last night, I needed something to protect my carpets so I picked up this black and white one from ikea. Rearranged a few things while I was at it. I’m hoping that I can rearrange the entire room soon. I’m kinda tired of looking at a blank wall and would like to turn the desk to face the window.

Anyways, back to the paintings.
